SBS Exchange Server has issues retrieving pop email

Great questions, thanks for jumping in ...

yes, I have outbound 110 enabled in ISA 2000.

as far as ping goes, I believe that the ISP has disabled
ICMP, as the ping times out ... but I could simply be
presuming that they have ping reply disabled.

Of course, I don't want to discount the fact that I may
have done something wrong in the setup. Admittedly, I am
having a tough time with the 'integrated install' ... I've
done it on my isolated sandbox four times and each time it
appears to end up in a unique state of some things working
while others arent.

The current iteration is the best yet, except for I cannot
retrieve POP3 email and the fix for Sharepoint deserialize
error (directory security setting) keeps reverting on
server reboot.

But I digress - the POP3 item is high on my radar as it is
the last hurdle to overcome before I complete the setup.
