| I'm in the process of migrating to SBS2003 from a P2P
| network. I added my first computer to the DC and when I
| attempt to login from the PC, it takes over 45 seconds
| from the time I enter the password to when I hear the
| Windows login sound byte. Once logged in, everything
| appears to function as expected (no performance hits).
|
| The server is a Dell Poweredge 1600SC. Te PC is a Dell
| Precision 360 running XP. Both computers have all the
| latest updates. All computers (10 total) are connected
| through a Dell PowerConnect 2124 switch and the server is
| connected via the gigabit port on the switch. Right now,
| these are the only two computers on the domain.
|
| Any suggestions?
| Thanks,
| Scott

DNS should point to the SBS box and only the SBS box. This is the normal
cause of slow logins.
Thank you,
