Thanks. I guess I'll have to do some more ISA learning to figure out
what I'm doing (sounds to me like a good excuse to get the boss to
spring for a new book...).
I managed to work around my original problem by changing my HTTP
Redirector filter settings (in Extensions\Application Filters) to
"Send to requested Web Server" instead of "Redirect to Local Web Proxy
Service" and disabling the "Use Proxy.." setting in IE. I assume this
means I'm not using the web proxy at all for now. What is directing my
traffic in this case? NAT? some sort of SOCKS proxy? I don't think
this is the permanent solution and I would like to figure out what Web
Proxy is doing to my authentication requests.
Like I said before, I'm a rookie at this ISA stuff (which is why I am
considering going back to what I know in the BSD world)
