Since I am one of those who said I got it to work the first time, I'll take
up the task to document what I did. All of this is assuming that you ran
CEICW and enable to allow remote access to Outlook. Now, in my case, the
customer's server is accessible via a dynamic IP address, and they are
signed up with TZO. So let's say the URL to their server is "abc.tzo.com"
and the local name of their server is server1.xyz.local

Now from my workstation at home:

1. Download and installed the Q331320 patch for my workstation
2. Point my browser to the customer's server: https://xyz.tzo.com/remote
3. Click on View Certificate > Install Certificate
4. Went to Control Panel > Mail (Classic View) > Show Profiles > Add...
5. Enter name for this profile: XYZ (company name)
6. Select to 'Add a new email account'
7. Select 'Microsoft Exchange Server'
8. At this point I followed exactly the instructions starting at step #4 of
the section labeled 'Configure the computer for RPC over HTTP'

Let me see if I can document it any better ...
