OK, the box & software are on their way.

I bought the wonderful "little" book, "Windows Server 2003 Administrator's Companion". Now my head hurts!

What I have now:

Cable modem - D-Link DI-624 wireless router - two workstations hard wired & a laptop wireless.

If I put the server between the D-Link & the work stations, how would the laptop link into the server? If I put the server between
the modem & router then the server would be open to the world, correct?

So, should I get a simple wired firewall router put it between the modem & server, then the D-Link between the server &
workstations?

I also understand the server needs two nics. The mobo I'm getting has a built in nic. Can the second nic just be a standard nic,
or do I need to look for something specific?

Sorry for the real basic questions!

Know of any sites that I can visit that will diagram these real basic questions?

Thanks folks!

Steve
