Yes - Use the AVD (Active Virus Defence) from Network
Associates (MCafee Corporate Software).
Does hourly updates, has scanners for SMTP, Exchange,
Desktop, Server and will start at a 5 cal count for
licenses. I think it is probably under $1000 Canadian
for the software.
An alternate if cost is an issue is the Computer
Associates product which seems ok and has the hourly
updates but I hate the interface personally.
I've used the Symantec solution and it's kinda nice for
the ability to just pull it in through login script but
the license count for it starts at 10 Cals last time I
check (So you have pay for 10 licenses minimum and I
think the cost was almost $2500 Canadian).
The other nasty bit (I don't know if they have cleared it
up) but the userid and password used to validate on the
server is sitting in the registry under the settings in
clear text. And I don't remember the updates being quite
as frequent as I personally liked.
And the worst we've seen of all the outbreaks for the
last 2 years running the Network Associates suite of
products have been "Caught a virus, caught a virus" as
opposed to "AIAIHAGIHAGIGH! Everythings down!
Everythings BAD! AIHAGIHAGH"
The interface (if you get the small Business Edition) has
a nice setup Wizard. It's a little more for the
technically inclined but I've found it to be a superior
product.
