Susan,
Can you telnet to the routers external ip address on port 25 and get the
successful 220 Exchange banner?
Do you have the Exchange recipient policies created for the Exchange
install, both @domain.local and @domain.com?
If you do NSLookup on the A and MX records, on the Internet, do they
resolve to the correct FQDN used by your Exchange Server?
In the Default SMTP Virtual Server on Exchange, in the properties, Access
tab, Connections, do you have it set to allow connections from ALL except
for no one?
