I have setup a small business server as the only domain
server on the network, I assigned a private IP address and
the only static IP we have is on the router, on the router
I assigned the private IP to be used by this server only,
putting in the computer name. I had the MX records at the
Hosting site point to the static IP on the router, I can
send emails, but I can't receive, What could my problem
be, I contacted the manufacture of the router to ask if I
had to purchase a static ip for the server to make it
work, but he said that by default it should work and I
should not need to make any further changes to the Router,
So what is my next step ????
When I send emails to a user on the server, I receive the
error message that the mail.companyname.com cannot be found

Thank you

Susan
