Can you ping the address of the router from the server?

Can you ping external addresses?

Can the server resolve names of cmputers on the Internet (if you ping
www.microsoft.com, it should return the IP address of the server - it won't
respond to a ping because it is disabled on that server).

The problem could be related to
828263 DNS query responses do not travel through a firewall in Windows
Server
