I'm completed green with SBS. Let alone 2003.

I installed a fresh copy of SBS 2003 on a brand new hard-
drive to this cpu last Wednesday the 18th of 2/04. Zero
problems. I spent my time on getting it up and running
regarding the OS itself, networking (6 wkstation dentists
office) and supporting their key vendor product. Hadn't
even registered it until 20 minutes ago.

Got a call this morning from the staff that it had "shut
down" twice this morning without warning. Upon arrival,
and reviewing the event log it appears the problem has to
do with some kind of registration issue or something
(which is what promted me to activate/register) the
product.

I'd be happy to upload the event viewer to any site if it
would help. Or even grant you remote assistance rights if
requested.

The event again is......

"This computer must be configured as a domain controller.
To prevent this computer from shutting down in the future,
run Setup on the disk that you used to install the
operating system to configure the computer as a domain
controller."

They are not, never had and don't need to, run a
domain......in my opinion.

The first instance of this message was on 2/18/04.

Per the event viewer at 8:40:47 last night.........

"This computer must be configured as a domain controller.
It will be shut down in 60 minutes. To prevent this
computer from shutting down, run Setup on the disk that
you used to install the operating system to configure the
computer as a domain controller."

Then almost exactly 30 minutes later...

"This computer must be configured as a domain controller.
It will be shut down in 30 minutes. To prevent this
computer from shutting down, run Setup on the disk that
you used to install the operating system to configure the
computer as a domain controller."

Then another 30 minutes....and

"The server was shut down because it did not comply with
the EULA. For more information, contact Microsoft."

Obviously theres something basic regarding EULA I don't
understand.

My customers waiting on me.
