This problem is usually related to the Internet Zones.

Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools/Internet Options
Go to the Security Tab
Highlight Local Intranet and choose sites - make sure that UNC paths are
checked.

If that is correct, try unchecking it and closing out and then going back
and rechecking it.

Otherwise you can check the followign registry values:

        HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Zones

        HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\Zones

Zone 3 is local Intranet.
Highlight 3 and go to the value 1806
Make sure this is a zero.

If it is not a zero, change it to zero and then logout and log back in
again.
