You'll need to run the Application as a Service.
To do this the application should meet a strict set of criteria, being
specifically designed to run in this manner.

Depending upon the application you may be able to use Srvany.exe from
the resource kit.

Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools

There is no guarantee that it will work correctly though unless the app.
as I say, is designed to run in this fashion. You can get memory leaks,
lockups, Failure to shutdown, or failure to start (if it requires other
services running first) etc.

Hi there,
We currently have SBS2003 running and I would like a certain program to
start every time the server is turned on or restarted. Currently we have
thestartup program simply listed under the 'administrator' startup items
group, but this does not work in the event of a proonged power outage
and
there is not any available staff to login as administrator to boot up
that
specific startup program. Any ideas? Thanks.
