After you run the intall to connect the server to the
internet and email, number 2 on the TO DO list after the
initial installation, there is a check box that ask you if
you are only using one nic card to access the internet and
intranet just keep the box checked and follow the rest of
the install.
That is how I have my SBS2k3 server configured with one
nic and a firewall router it works great. Some people
have suggested 2 nics and I might try it for another level
of security, but I am not sure if it is needed.
