Tony , thank you very much for your answer, a lot of helpful info.

One question left:

How would I stream the content not over HTTP.
Currently I have a webpage where people click on a picture and then a page
opens with de mediaplayer in a window or a link to play on their own player.
(Indeed using the Version 9 sdk).
Besides that there is a live encoded stream 'broadcasting' radio.
