Do you have XP clients? Do you use the "Always wait for network at computer startup and logon" GPO under Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, Logon

hi,
I have a problem with some of the client PCs whenever they shutdown
and
restart their PCs the shared drives does not show for them until they
log off and log in again.
we use a script to connect the shared drives and is associated with
user's windows id
