Here's my scenario/problem.
I run a hotel. We have an Interactive TV proivder that has installed a cable
modem on a Windows Server 2003 machine. In order to administer the iTV boxes
we much use this cable modem access which is highly restricted on this
machine. The iTV Server to which the cabel modem is attached specificly looks
for the IP address of this modem.
The same server has a standard network card which which it uses to access
the administrative network. We only use it really for very simple tasks. For
example, it's connected via serial cable to our PBX and we download phone
calls to our Reservation/Invoicing system.
Here's the catch: All these live in a secure room and I want to access the
server using Terminal Services from the other adminstrative PCs. So, I need
both the internal network card of the server for internal (intranet) access
only; and want the cable modem to access the internet so that when we go to
the server for iTV it recognizes the published IP address as that of the
cable modem.
PROBLEM: Whenever it enable the internal net card (for intranet), it uses my
administrative modem/router and superceeds the cablemodem. It is ALWAYS this
public IP address which is shown to the outside world. I've gone into
Advanced Setup and set the cable modem first, etc. to give it prescendence;
but no luck.
What I want: TO set up the internal net card for INTRANET only access - turn
off it's access to the web, but still be able to access all my internal
network (and have other comupters access it), and have the cablemodem be used
for access to the outside world.

Thanks in advance. If you could copy darrique@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx on any
response, it would be GREATLY appreciated!
