routing and remote access & remote desktop connection

I have always allowed my users to connect to our windows 2003 server via
routing and remote access, so I can use Remote Desktop Connection to open a
session on their remote machine for troublshooting.

Lately when the users connect, I am able to see their machine receive a dhcp
ip address from the server, but when I use RDC I am able to log in and then
get frozed, till the connection is dropped.

The remote desktop is a vista client. Any ideas?

Thanks
.
