Hello Ole,
Do you use the standard ping? Check with "ping -l 1024 ipaddress/servername -t" for a longer period, maybe its different with larger packets.
Best regards

Hi everybody,
we have a Server 2008 Fileserver and a Server 2008 WTS. Everything
seems to work properly except for the network connection. We have data
loss because of dropping network connections. From time to time we get
a system log entry with ID 50 saying:
{Datenverlust beim Schreiben} Nicht alle Daten für Datei
"\...\LOGBOOK2.REL" wurden gespeichert. Die Daten gingen verloren.
Mögliche Ursachen sind Computerhardware oder die Netzwerkverbindung.
Geben Sie einen anderen Dateipfad an.
Data loss while writing. Not all Data for file "......." was saved.
The data is lost. Possible reasons are the Computer Hardware or the
network connection. Please specify another path.
I have tried to set a constant ping. This does not have any packet
loss. Thus, the reason must be somewhere in the system not network
infrastucture.
The network controller is onBoard, it is an NForce Pro 3600 with a
Marvell 88E1116 chip.
Can anybody help me or perhaps recommend an analyzer software capabel
of running under 2008/64bit?
Thank you for your help.
Ole
