My local office as a domain controller, with DHCP, WINS and DNS working. I
just attached another subnet via a router and vpn.
That other subnet is using the routers DHCP and DNS services. It does not
have a Windows server and is setup as a workgroup.
Short of joining it to the domain, what is the best way to exert control
other that subnet? Per an MS article I read, I stopped the router from
sending Netbios traffic (sited possible issues), but I would like to browse
it if I could. Just setup WINS on the domain side?
Thanks,
.
