I have a server with 2 NIC's installed. One NIC directly connects to
a webserver, the other NIC connects to a network switch. Ideally,
all web traffic would go out NIC2, but when it stops working and I
perform a traceroute to a website it goes out NIC1. A while later
everything works ok and web traffic is going out NIC2. NIC1 has a
static IP address, NIC2 has a dynamic address retreived from the
internal DHCP server.
What's the topology of your network? What subnetworks and what
addresses are assigned to which NICs and hosts?
Do I need to enter some static routes or something?
No.
