Hello dano,
You are talking about RRAS, so how did the clients connect, remote over VPN or in your local network? If they are at the same switch like the server and you gave them fixed ip configuration, can you ping the server via ip and computername?
Best regards

I'm running a XP Pro/Server 2003 environment, with RRAS and 2 NICs.
So far, for two years everything was swell. This past week, four
computers decided they wouldn't renew their leases, and I manually
tried to do so, using IPconfig.
I get the 169.254 deal plus limited connectivity. They don't show up
in DCHP and I get error messages saying the DHCP in not working
properly... Also, DNS doesn't resolve their IPs regardless if I
assign them IPs manually.
I've restarted services for the above, rebooted the server several
times and went so far as to disconnect a client from the network and
try to rejoin it only to be informed the DC cannot be found!
Any suggestions? And it's not hardware as I changed cables, swapped
computers to different RJ 45 ports as well as replaced our 24 port
switch.
