Hello,.
Thank you for using newsgroup!
From your post, I agree with Bob's suggestions. You may first check the
default time-out period for the autodisconnect feature of the Server
service, open a command prompt, type the following line, and then press
ENTER
net config server /autodisconnect:number
Please refer to:
297684: Mapped Drive Connection to Network Share May Be Lost
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297684/en-us
And then please confirm if you have installed any Symantec software on the
server and clients. As I know, some Symantec could cause these similar
issues as below:
932463: A mapped network drive appears to be disconnected after you install
or upgrade to Symantec AntiVirus 10.0 or to Symantec Client Security 3.0 on
a Windows Server 2003-based computer or on a Windows XP-based computer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932463/en-us
More Info:
305355: Some Compaq Programs Cause Mapped Drives to Be Disconnected
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/305355/en-us
330519: Red 'X' appears on Home folder mapped drive in Windows Explorer
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330519/en-us
