all the laptops are set to obtain settings automaticaly,ie dhcp and dnsin this case another question:
Do they even get an IP address at home?
Start / Run / cmd
ipconfig /all
What is shown here for the proper LAN adapter?
Is it a WLAN adapter?
If yes, I have seen a behaviour with MS One Care Firewall on a Vista PC, which blocked the assignment of IP addresses. If I pulled down the firewall for a short moment, the system got it's IP address in home environment.
Best greetings from Germany
