RE: Slow Vista browsing network after 2003 SP2

This also appears to have solved my issue with an extremely slow Vista
computer. But I'm not running SBS2003, just 2003x64R2SP2 standard edition.

Thanks for the post! This was driving me and my single Vista user insane!

| | We are having a problem with windows Vista Business and Windows server
| 2003
| | RS since installing service pack 2.
| |
| |
| |
| | Browsing network shares and opening files has slowed down to a point it
| is
| | almost unusable, I have searched everywhere for a fix but cannot find
| one. I
| | have noticed a few posts from other people describing the issue but
they
| | have resolved the issue by un-installing SP2.
| |
| |
| |
| | Also a few HP printers are reporting that their driver needs updating
| before
| | they can print, if you clicked on the update driver option you are

| | with, the machine appears to hang.
| |
| |
| |
| | I have removed SP2 and all the issues have disappeared.
| |
| |
| |
| | Windows 2000 and XP machines are not affected by the service pack.
| |
| |
| |
| | All machines on the network are a member of the domain, including the

| |
| |
| |
| | Has anybody seen this issue before, and how to resolve it, as I would
