Hi - I've asked around about this issue and have a suggestion...
Most cases like this have been resolved using the command netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled on the Windows Vista client. This command disables the Receive Window Auto-Tuning feature.

Can you give this a try and let me know if it helps? I cringe at a solution of "well, I'll just uninstall SP2", so I hope this works for you.
