Is your network set up with AD?

Thank you but I am not working with mapped drives.
Here's an example:
I am logged into my computer as scott
I connect to \\server\scott - everything works fine
I attempt to connect to \\server\notscott - receive message denying access
What I want is to be prompted for a different user/pass

hi,
before try to access a network share where you don't have access run the
comand "net use * /delete" -that will unmap all network resurces that you
use. You cand have 2 or more mapped network shares from the same server with
different usernames. and of course you have to delete any saved stored
passwords on that server from your workstation.

I have a win2003 server with network shares on it. When I log onto my
computer it uses a username and pass that exist on that machine so I can
access the shares without entering any user or pass. However, when I attempt
to access a share that I do not have rights too I get an error message. What
I would prefer to see is a prompt for a username and pass. How can I
configure my server to prompt instead of just straight denying access?
