I have never seen that, but my guess is that there is a domain policy
which prevents manual network config.

New build of Server 2003 R2 running on Active Directory 2003 Domain. Fully
up
to date with critical updates. Have allocated Manual IP Address which the
server is using on the network but when you open properties for TCP/IP the
screen is showing "Obtain IP Address Automatically". Have re assigned
static
address many times but each time properties show as using Automatic. Any
Ideas why this is happening ?
