Thanks. Now for the questions...
How did your server get these addresses? Via DHCP from your router?
Did you assign them manually?
The ipconfig /all indicates it's a static IP (DHCP = no), FWIW.
Which ones? Some manually some via
DHCP? Which ones. That would help a lot.
To echo another posters question, why does this box have a public IP
address? Did you manually put it in or did it obtain it automatically
from your router? How is your network connected?
What kind of Internet connection do you have? Cable? DSL? Dialup?
Basically, you need your IP to be on the same network as your
gateway. If you changed 10.255.255.1 to 82.165.186.xx that might do
it. Or, if you changed all the 82.165.186.x addresses to 10.x.x.x.
that might do it. But we need to know how your network is setup.
You infer that you have other machines that can access the Internet.
Can you post an IPCONFIG /ALL from a working workstation here?
That's an excellent suggestion!

Sounds like your TCP/IP properties may not be set correctly.
Post the results of your IPCONFIG /ALL here.

Hello, I am setting up windows server 2003 standard edition as a
test environment. For the specific tests we need to run, we must
be able to browse the Internet. I can connecting to the box using
Remote Desktop, and from there I can ping the DNS IP address;
however, I cannot browse the Internet. I have temporarily turned
off the firewall, and I have disabled Internet Explorer Enhanced
Security, all to no avail. I have also experimented with the IP
Filter Settings for Packet Filter: specifically, settings for Open
"HTTP/S Output" and "HTTP/S Input", and "Block All." None of this
seems to work. Please let me know what is needed to enable
Internet browsing. Thanks,
Keith
