Re: Features in Windows 2003 DHCP

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

My point is that the information I want isn't showing up in either one of
those places.

When an individual computer updates its DNS forward and reverse zone
information, I would like to see that event reflected in a log, somewhere.

Is that information logged, and how can I view it?

Thanks for help in seeing the DNS TTL.

In the SYSTEM32\DNS.LOG file, I see only zone file updates, but I
don't see any notifications from individual computers that they are
updating their individual DNS entries in forward or reverse zone
files. All of the information in that DNS.LOG file is appearing in
the EventViewer DNS section anyway. Did you mean a different
logfile?

Are you speaking of Event logging or Debug loggin? If Event, they show up
in
the DNS log in Event viewer. If Debug, they show up in the system32\logs,
unless you specified elsewhere under the Debuggin Log tab.
