have an HP dl360 with 2003 sp1 R2. After rebooting the network interfaces
dont come online so I cannot ping the server, until I login to the server
then the interfaces will come up. All interfaces are set to autonegotiate
with static IP's and show a link when I login. Event viewer shows nothing
and neither does the HP management page. Firewall is also disabled.

any suggestions?

How long have you waited after reboot before pinging? I know some of my servers
won't ping for a minute or two after being rebooted. I think this may have
something to do with McAfee AV in my case.
