W2K3 R2: Access Denied trying to start DHCP Client service

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi.

Installed Windows Server 2003 R2 as a regular server (not domain controller)
as a member of a domain. Seems to join the Domain OK. (Domain server is
running Windows 2000 Server Sp4.)

Configured the Windows Server 2003 R2 system similar to Windows Server 2003
SP1 system which are all running fine.

After rebooting the Windows Server 2003 R2 system once or twice, I get
"Error 5: Access Denied" when DHCP Client service starts.
What could cause it? How to solve it?

This is preventing rollout of any further Windows Server 2003 R2 systems.

Thanks for your help.
joe
