Hi,

If this is happening on all of the XP computers first try turning off the
firewall and any antivirus programs that are installed. The best way to
disable the antivirus programs is to run the computer in selective mode or
safe mode with networking. The try to connect to this computer from another
one, by typing "\\computer_name" in Start/Run. Test the issue again by
running CMD console and type "net view computer_name". Which error does it
display? Check if there is any group policy applied to the client computers,
so run the mmc console and add Resutant Set of Group Policy snap-in and
check the result under Computer Configuration/Windows Settings/Security
Settings/Local Policies. Under User Rights Assignments check the following
keys:

-Access this computer from network (domain users should be in)

-Deny access to this computer from network

Under the security options take a look at this key:

-Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only
(disabled)-only if local admins do not have passwords

-Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumerations of SAM accounts
(enabled)

-Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumerations of SAM accounts and
shares (disabled)

-Network access: Allow anonymous SID/Name translation (disabled)

-Network access: Let everyone permission apply to the anonymous user
(disabled)

All shared folders are in Win XP. Win 2003 only act as DNS, DHCP, RRAS
server. Firewall is on with exception on File and Printer Sharing.
Permission
checked. Ping works fine either with host name or ip. XP able to see
all
the
comp on the domain. But, when double click to access the computer (in
order
to see shared folders) the error msg is given. Sigh.. What happen??
