Re: netdiag.exe fails to start

Hi Robert,

From Win2003 onwards, support tools for W2k3 doesn't have netdiag included.
May I know is this the win2000's netdiag? If yes, it will not work on W2k3
machine.

We are running a win2003 std server SP1 with active directory. Recently
when
we try to run netdiag.exe the following popup error is displayed:
"Procedure entry point DnsGetPrimaryDomainName_UTF8 could not be located
in
the dynamic link library DNSAPi.dll"

Dcdiag.exe runs without problems, ip config looks correct.

The DNS server is running on an active directory DC in another domain on
the
same physical network, is functioning properly and has not been changed in
more than 6 months.

Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated

Robert
