check the ip of WINS server ur entered it and its resource record in the
dns
server if u have one. if everything is okay

check the Groups u are member on it and put urself in the all
administrators
group or give urself a delegate to manage WINS server

Everything is configured correctly (since WINS resolution is working)
however there must be a security setting that is not allowing me to
manage
the WINS server and yes I am signed on as 'administrator' my own account
has
enterprise admin rights, it doesn't matter what account is used.

remote registry is enabled
the servers point at themselves for wins

I'm at a loss here, has anyone found the fix and can explain why this
issue
occurs?
