These NICs on your VPN work server need to be on different subnets in order
for routing to work properly.

Todd,
Thanks for your help. One nic is 192.168.1.33 the other is
192.168.1.34. My work gateway is 192.168.1.1 and subnet is
255.255.255.0. I hope that is what you are asking for. When I make a
connection to work and the network connection icon displays in the task
bar of my home machine, I rt click on status and it shows a server ip
of 192.168.1.33 and a client ip of 192.168.1.33. I assume the client
is me? When I connect to the test server at home the two ips (server
and client in the status dialog) are different.
I did notice that the static routing table on the work machine is blank
and the one at home is not.
