VPN Automatic startup connection options

Hello,
I'd like to know some ways of automatically connecting a VPN connection at
computer startup. I originally thought rasdial using a bat. But trying to
connect using rasdial just in the command line so "rasdial VPN" was no luck
with error 691 given even though all passwords are set to be remembered by
default. It works when I use the GUI version fine.
Are there any other ways to achieve this?
This is for remote clients that I want to be always connected via a secure
VPN to the corp. network. I want to be able to manage them as I need to.
I hope that as the connection would already be connected before a user logs
on there would be no need to dial a connection and when they log off it would
not be disconnected. Therefore I could hide any need to access the VPN
connection. These are for a few desktops that users have at home that will
never be attached to the corporate network directly so therefore a VPN is
needed.
Thank you,
.
