Hello Todd,
I am sorry for the delayed response due to weekend. Please understand that
the newsgroups are staffed weekdays by Microsoft Support professionals to
answer your systems and applications questions. Our goal is to provide 24
hour response to all questions. Your understanding is greatly appreciated!
At this point, you indicated you have configured only one default gateway
which can be confirmed with IPCONFIG /ALL. Therefore, it seems it could not
be the problem. Based on my experience, the issue could occur under
multiple situations, to determine the cause more efficient, I would like to
collect more information for further research.
1. What is the detailed network topology?
2. Please collect the MPS network Report after the issue occurred.
---------------------------------
Download the MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE from the following link and then run this
tool to gather some information from the problematic computer:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/b/b/1/bb139fcb-4aac-4fe5-a579-30b0bd9
15706/MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE
To run this tool:
1. Double-click on the MPSRPT_NETWORK.EXE file.
I understand this process may take some time, however it will not have a
negative effect on the performance.
2. A CAB file will be generated in the
%systemroot%\MPSReports\Network\Reports\Cab directory called
%COMPUTERNAME%_MPSReports.CAB. The CAB file will contain the reports
generated by the MPS Reporting Tool.
3. Send the CAB file as an attachment to v-jasont@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks for your time. If there is anything that is unclear, please feel
free to let me know.
Thanks & Regards,
Jason Tan

| OK, here's one I cannot figure out. I am running a Windows 2003 Server
with
| 3 NICs. They are teamed using the lates version of HP Network Team.
When I
| go into the TCP/IP properties, configure them and save the cahnges, it
gives
| me the warning, Multiple default gateways are intended to provide
reduncany
| to a single network (such as an intranet or the Internet). They will not
| function properly when the gateways are on two separate, disjoint
networks
| (such as one on your intranet and one on the internet). Do you want to
save
| this configuration?
|
| The problem is, I only have one gateway configured. When I do a
IPCONFIG,
| still only one gateway. ROUTE PRINT, shows the same. Typically wouldn't
be
| a problem, but after a few days, my server (which is a Global Catalog
| server) loses connectivity to another serer, at another site. Says, it
| can't find it. I figure this is the problem. Any help?
