What has changed in your network?

The most common cause of browser failures is a multihomed browse master.
Do you have a DC running as a router or remote access server?

The next step is to use the browstat utility (from the Support Tools) to
find out what machines are filling what roles in your browsing setup.

There is a description of the browser service in KB188001 and a
troubleshooting guide in KB 188305 .
