SBS 2003 DHCP + WIN98 clients!

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I have a SmallBusinessServer 2003 with several clients attached to it.

Problem is DHCP, the clients get a valid IP when they boot, but only
sometimes!

The problem lays with the Winows 98 clients.

Normally the client gets an IP:

192.168.1.125
255.255.255.0

But sometimes when a user starts his/hers computer, they get this:
192.168.1.125
255.0.0.0

And the loginscript will not be run, and they are told that no domain
controller is available!

What could be the problem here??

When I release and renew with WINIPCFG, they get the correct IP and subnet.

There is only one DHCP server on the network...

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Regards Martin
