Ok, we're getting closer...

The "router"....do you mean a "real" LAN Router that sits between two LAN IP
Subnets?,...or do you mean some kind of Internet Sharing Device sitting at
the edge of the LAN next to the Internet? (there is a *big* difference
between the two).

Well, it is important to know. You are surely using RFC Private addressing
like the rest of us. They are no "secret",...we all use a block(s) from one
of the same choices. So you can say what they are.

Don't worry about the switches/hubs or cable types. They won't come into
play.

Ok,...I gonna guess at what I think you have and what you need to do. If I
have the wrong idea, correct me in the next post.

Let's say that:...

Office Subnet = 192.168.1.x
Accounts Subnet = 192.168.2.x
Router between subnets = 192.168.1.254 & 192.168.2.254
Internet Sharing Device = 192.168.1.1

Hosts on Office subnet use 192.168.1.254 as Default Gateway
Hosts on Accounts subnet use 192.168.2.254 as Default Gateway
Router itself uses 192.168.1.1 as the Default Gateway (Internet sharing
device)

Internet Sharing Device requires a Static Route to the Accounts subnet
(192.168.2.x) using 192.168.1.254 as the path.
