Looking for help with why port 80 would be timing out from the WAN side
accessing my WEB page. I switched ISP's over the weekend for financial
reasons; need to cut costs. All we did was move the server from a static IP
frame to a ADSL. Changed the router so that the server is assigned a manual
static IP; opened ports 25, 110, & 80 all while working with ISP. Ports 25 &
110 work fine but port 80 times out when accessing from the WAN. LAN works
great at resolving server web pages as long as the port 80 is opened in the
router. ISP feels something is wrong in the server but no change was made
other then IP address for the NIC. Everything out bound has worked since the
switch but in bound is the issue (to see my web page) ??? I work fine with
accessing other web pages and I'm using no-ip.com for DNS which is working
great.
I tried to use an alternate port but I may not have set that up correctly in
the server. Is there a technet article for using alternate port assignments?
I haven't found one for W2k BackOffice??
