Why ping cann't see two hosts

Explain me please!
Two hosts (Win2003 Server[192.168.0.1] & Win2000[192.168.0.3]) cann't connect using ping. Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. Default gateway for both -[192.168.0.1]. DNS Server for both - [192.168.0.1]. Active Directory & DNS Server are installed
