I have never done that with two NICs,...don't ever intend to,...sounds like
a train wreck waiting to happen. Maybe if I knew more about it I would be
less sceptical. I'm sure I should know the specifics of "promiscuous", but
am having a "brain-dead" moment with it right now.
The only "bridging" I am familiar with is done with a pair of bridges or a
single (or group) of switches. That is what Layer2 bridging is. Since Layer2
isn't routable (flat address space) in the true sense, bridging is really
all you can do with it anyway.
