both computers are on the same workgroup, both have the same IP scheme
and subnet and both have teh same username & pw's. and yes, XP does
have file sharing enabled (as i have already shared which the 2k3 box
can access). the issue is taht the 2k3 box cannot access a protected
share on the Xp box
