I've been using Remote Administrator by Famatech ( http://www.radmin.com/ )
for several years now.
I like the connection features. Allows full control mode and view only mode
as well as file transfer and shutdown/restart/logoff remote machine.
It's small and easy to configure, and inexpensive at $35.00 for two computer
( remote and administrator ) and if anyone is interested, it meets HIPPA
regs
The overhead is rather low, however there have been the rare machine in the
past that it takes excessive processor time.
