Can you see any problem with introducing a 2008 Server into a 2003
domain, making it a domain controller, and then migrating all domain
roles over to it?

I plan on leaving it this way for a fairly long while, unitl I can
get the other DCs replaced or upgraded. At which point I can upgrade
the domain functional level to 2008.

Any tips, hints, links or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike Scott

You must upgrade the schema before attempting to make the 2008 server a
Domain Controller.
