RE: FSMT and DFS setup questions

it's kind of weird i am here to answer my own question.
i finished the migration, it went so smoothly namewhich i could never expect.
i used FSMT to copy share files and netdom command to rename target server
to source server.
on top of that, i think when i edited the .xml file, it automatically edited
all the nested share in the .xml as well.
FSMT is a good tool to use.

Hello,.
I cannot find any info about how to do that with nested shares. Any other
guys have any experience?
Thanks & Regards,

| I have started copying files using FSMT. Aside from I had to manually
change
| the <TargetPhysicalPath> location from D:\ServerName\FolderName$ back to
my
| original D:\FolderName and <TargetShare> from ShareName$_ServerName$ to
| ShareName$, everything else seems working fine. And, it's very simple to
edit
| the .xml file using notepad.
|
| I have one more question about this tool is, how does it deal with nested
| share? What I meant by this is the parent folder is shared and some
| subfolders are shared again. Would all the nested share be in placed
after I
| finalize the project?
|
| Thanks
