Permissions problem when move files from NT4 (PDC) to 2003 member svr.

Hello,

We are running a NT4 domain and have a 2003 R2 member server which is
on the same NT4 domain.

Because we are running out of capacity on our NT4 PDC we want to
migrate the data/shares off it and onto our new 2003 R2 server.

We used the Microsoft migration wizard to migrate the data and the
shares.
The wizard has copied the permissions but we noticed the following
problem which made us roll back.

Migrated permissions on the 2003 box are as following:
1) domain/administrator from the old PDC box permissions have been
replaced with local 2003 svr administrator
2) domain local groups from the old PDC box are visable in the
permissions list on the 2003 box but don't work. (our domain local
groups have domain global groups nested in them).

I read somewhere else that we might have to make a svr local group and
add the domain local groups into this. The only problem is the
permission on these drives are extreemly complex and would take
forever to swap out.

Any suggestions on how I can easily swap the permissions or make the
current ones work?
(When I try and add new groups on the 2003 box I only have the option
of users or domain global groups.)

Thanks for your time,

Pete
