Re: file migration with account mismatching
Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry
Hi Holdmont,
Several migration tools including ADMT allow you the opportunity to
merge source and target domain accounts.
You need to establish a trust relationship between the two domains
first. Then using, ADMT, merge the accounts from domainA with the
accounts in domainB. This merge is important as it will create the
mapping file you will later use to migrate computers and data from
domainA to domainB. I would recommend including SIDHistory for the
duration of the migration as well. This will allow your users to
access all resources in either domain using only their domainB
credentials both during and obviously after your migration.
Hope this helps.
