Hi ,

Check following article for your Q1.

And I think Printer share is different to file share and we can do
nothing
to consolidate the printer share path.

thanks.

Greetings,

I need to move several File and Print Servers to a new domain and
rename
them to be compliant with the new domain naming standards. I plan on
using
ADMT for this part.

I want to use DFS Consolidation Root Wizard to allow users to
continue
to
use existing URLs to access these migrated servers.

Question 1. Will this work since the NEWSERVER and the OLDSERVER are
the
same server? All the examples are senarios where the data is being
migrated
to new hardware.

Question 2. Will the DFS functionality that allows users to still use
\\OLDSERVERNAME\FILESHARENAME also allow
\\OLDSERVERNAME\PRINTERSHARENAME
to
continue to work? I do not see any mention of Printer shares in the
documentaion.

Thanx Frank Smith
